Adoptions ~ How to Adopt
1) Come visit us or look at our website, and find a pet that you would like to adopt. Spend time with
them in one of our playrooms.
2) Fill out our Application for Adoption. Once approved, there will be a
24-hour hold on the pet.
3) Return to the Humane Society to complete the adoption process.
- If the animal is already altered (spayed/neutered) it can go home that day.
- If the animal is not altered, HHS will transport the animal to one of our participating veterinarians to have the surgery completed. You will pick up your pet directly from the vet clinic that performed the surgery.
- If the animal is sick or too young for surgery you may be asked to take it home that day and agree to pay a spay/neuter deposit. The deposit will be refunded in full upon completion of the spay/neuter surgery.
